By Choral Practice on November 24, 2014 in UncategorizedÅse Helén Krystad, soprano, was born in Lofoten, Norway and studied at The Conservatory og Music in Tromsø and Trondheim, and at The Norwegian Opera Academy, Oslo. Since her debut in 1999 she has done several roles at The Norwegian National Opera and Ballet, such as The Countess in The Marriage of Figaro, Despina in Cosi fan tutte and Pamina in The Magic Flute (Mozart). She has also worked with other opera companies in Norway and sings classical as well as contemporary repertoire. As a soloist she is much in demand, having performed with all the major Norwegian Symphony Orchestras in such as opera, lieder and church music. !
