Karoline Åseng completed in 2011 her Bachelors degree in classical singing from the Department of Music at NTNU in Trondheim. There she worked with voice teachers as Sissel Høyem Aune, Elisabeth Meyer Topsøe and Kåre Bjørkøy. She has also attended master classes with teachers such as Trish McCaffrey, Elisabeth Norberg Schultz, Marianne Beate Kielland and Håkan Hagegård. In 2010 Åseng was the first to receive a scholarship from Gurli and Sigrid Bugges endowment. In Summer 2012 she moved back to Bodø, where she now works as a professional singer and voice teacher. Åseng is a member of the professional vocal ensemble VocalART and Trondheim Symphony orchestra’s professional vocal ensemble, which in the recent years have set up several major operas. This fall she will begin studying for her Masters degree in speech-language pathology at the University of Nordland.
