Kristian Krokslett

He has taken lessons from, among others, Regine Vesterlid Stroem, Harald Bjoerkoey and Barbro Marklund and has also participated in several courses and Master classes. Kristian has been involved as a singer and an Actor in Music Theatre in Bodoe, Lofoten Opera, Nordland Music Festival, the puppet theatre, «Katta i Sekken», Bodoe International Organ Festival, The New Opera (Bergen), Oslo Opera Festival and Opera Nordfjord. He has had many different roles in several operas and other shows such as Carmen, Virgin Rosenving at Santavajasoe, Aida, Miss Victoria, The Jungle Book, The Magic Flute, Jedermann, La Serva Padrone, and the Viking play, «Ragnhild’s Dream» to name a very few.
Krokslett has had the pleasure of working under several of Norway’s well-known directors. He has participated in a variety of recordings, both as a soloist and backup singer and, on several occasions, been a voice-over/actor on radio and television commercials. His church music repertoire includes Mozart’s «Requiem,» Bach’s «Mass in B minor,» Handel’s «Messiah,» Rossini’s «Petite Messe Sollenelle,» Bach’s «Magnificat in D» and Haydn’s «Nelson Mass.» He has been a soloist several times with Bodoe Sinfonietta and with the MiN-ensemble. He is one of the singers in the Bodoe-based professional vocal ensemble VocalART and in The Norwegian Soloists Choir.
